Bible Stories

I didn’t see a reblog option for this post, so I’m just going to provide you with the link and urge you to check it out.

Donald Trump’s Favorite Bible Stories

Apparently the idea originated from a Washington Post opinion piece, and then “Logan,” expanded on it at his Life After 40 blog.

(Some Christians might even enjoy these! 😈)

  1. As usual, Nan, your posts and/or reblogs inspire me in directions only I can go. In this instance, the very first story above took me here:

Do you ever wonder why everyone assumes the tree of the knowledge of good and evil (represented here by Tim Apple) was indeed an apple tree? Seeing as the tree gave them the knowledge of first sin–sex–I don’t think of that as coming from the apple tree. If anything, I think it should be a cherry tree, or even a pomegranate tree.
Would Puritan America ever have been so prould of the story of Johnny Appleseed if he went around spreading the story of sex? I personally cannot see it. But then, they were a prurient bunch, so who knows?

That’s my tangent for today. Thanks for inspiring me once again.
