Money Over People

The situation in Puerto Rico goes on … and on … and on … and on …

Carmen Yulín Cruz, the mayor of San Juan, BEGS Trump to “take charge and save lives” … and adds, “Enough is enough.”

And here is our caring president’s stance:

Trump again referred to the island’s debt crisis, saying it would have to work with federal authorities to determine how to pay for a massive recovery effort compounded by “the tremendous amount of existing debt already on the island”.

He tweeted earlier: “The fact is that Puerto Rico has been destroyed by two hurricanes. Big decisions will have to be made as to the cost of its rebuilding!” (Emphasis mine)

This greedy bastard who has never gone without a meal in his life or ever had to drink water from a contaminated source is worried about M.O.N.E.Y. Who cares about PEOPLE? We must keep the the coffers full for his golf trips!

Here is a link to the article that’s entitled:‘Close to genocide’: San Juan mayor’s dire appeal to US for Puerto Rico relief.”

  1. Hello Nan. Here is a comment I left earlier on another friends site on the same issue.

I know what mental and emotional distress we went through with Irma, and we were very very lucky. I can not imagine what they are going through on the island of Puerto Rico and the Virgin Isles. I wonder if anyone in the tRump administration has ever worried they wouldn’t have a home, I wonder if they have lived with out power or water for any length of time, if They have ever been hungry and there simply was not food left anywhere? Any of these hardships? Because if you have never suffered it is really hard to have empathy for others who are enduring suffering. Especially if you don’t even want to try.

I don’t remember this administration demanding any accounting of moneys from either Texas nor Florida. No one said a thing about money when they were getting my power turned back on. I am so glad to see the push back by famous people who have the worlds attention to tRump’s tweets slandering the mayor. That poor mayor is working 24 / 7 with out getting real sleep, she is living out of a shelter, and out in sewer water trying to help people. I can not imagine her distress, her fears, her frustrations, and now added to it all is attacks by the thin skinned egomaniac who demands praise before he will do the damn job of president and send aid. Thank you Nan, and everyone who keeps hammering that Puerto Rico needs our help, that they are as much a part of our country as Florida and Texas. Hugs

    • Of course the answer to your questions are No, No, No, and No.

I don’t care what anyone says about “help” being provided to the victims, it’s nowhere near enough. I just wish ONE person in this administion had to live in a shelter for a week (and more). MAYBE then they would have a clue.

  2. With each passing week (day?) less and less suprises me out of the White House and out of this moron’s mouth and tiny brain. This is no different. tRump can embarrass even the most idiotic persons on the planet, easily!

  3. My wife is Puerto Rican. Fortunately immediate family lives here in the states. This does not however diminish the stress, sorrow, and outrage at my house.

Donald Trump is an insult to whale shit, pond scum, and dirty lying rats everywhere.
