Reblog: I guess we should all learn to speak Russian

The title says it all.

Ends and Beginnings

“…I did not have communications with the Russians.”- Attorney General Jeff Sessions during his confirmation hearings

I got to be honest, this Trump, Trump associates, Trump cabinet picks, Putin, Russian thing is beginning to make me a little nervous. First there were questions about Trumps one-time campaign chair Paul Manafort. And then Trump’s former campaign foreign policy adviser Carter Page. And then Trump’s former national security adviser Michael Flynn. And now we have a Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson, who the Kremlin awarded the country’s Order of Friendship in 2012. And a Commerce Secretary, Wilbur Ross, who has invested over a billion dollars in the Bank of Cyprus, and served as its vice-chairman. A bank owned by a knownally of Russian President Putin and one that has “reportedly” bailed out our President several times but we won’t and can’t know that because, wait…

  1. I agree. That a full, bipartisan investigation into this has not yet been started is a damning blemish on the Republicans. They control both houses, and they simply MUST call for an investigation into just how deeply tied to Russia and Putin Trump and his cronies are. This is like Nixon on steroids with all the deception, lies, corruption and scandal, and it’s only been 3 weeks. Please, Jeebus, let this nightmare end soon.

      • I have. I don’t think they truly get how damaged the ship is that they’re sailing in. The stench of this will stick to them and their treasonous party for decades. This is going nowhere good, and it’s going there faster by the minute.

        • We must wrap everything tRump & crew do around their necks until it drowns them. Voice it, write it, yell it, and never let anyone doubt it. That is the only way the rethugs can be made to deal with it. They simply don’t believe the people have any power. They don’t even think they need to hold town halls now. That fixes the yelling problem. One republican said that if anyone booed or yelled or said anything negative he would simply leave. They don’t think they can be voted out. They have become drunk with their own power. Vote them out at all levels, district, state, federal. Thanks. Hugs

  2. I agree with Jeff. I wonder why other presidents did not get away with just denying the truth of claims against them? Boy Nixon would have loved it if he could have called it all fake news. I think Bill Clinton would have loved it if he could have said a blow job from Monica was presidental because when the president does it that makes it OK. Give him the benefit of the doubt? Hey that Obama wrecked the economy is simply an alternative fact. I once tweeted that parents punish their children for doing what tRump does and gets praised for. How do you teach a child not to lie when the leaders of the country do it boldly and plainly and pay no penalty? How do you teach children everyone should be treated equally when they hear constantly that those not white people are less than, those brown people have to leave the country? I have such a mind hurt over this whole thing. Hugs

    • Scottie, it seems the normal rules do not apply to Donald Trump. In the campaign he seemed to just brush off controversies that would have cause any other candidate to be mortally wounded.

The irony is that many of Donald Trump’s supporters like him because they say ‘he says it as it is’. But it seems he actually does the opposite.

        • Scottie, I recall from my time as a Christian Preacher, that when I spoke with conviction, I tended to believe what I said and others did as well. It did not matter that it was not true, when I spoke strongly, people implicitly thought of it as true.
