The following statement sums up exactly what’s going on in this administration (from Politico.com). It’s referencing the recent Executive Order related to the refugee ban, but it can easily be broadened to include any action tRump has taken … or will take.
The developments underscore the haphazard approach the Trump administration has taken toward using its political power. Trump issued the order Friday with little notice to or input from the Department of Homeland Security, the State Department or other agencies critical to implementing it, according to multiple sources. (Emphasis mine)
He’s used to running the show and by gum, he’s not going to stop now! And since he’s hired a bunch of flunkies who are more than eager to kiss his ___, any kickback will most likely be non-existent.
(Only 9 days in and I’m already sick to my stomach.)
Impeach him, and find away to clean up the White House.

From my understanding, there are movements dedicated to this action. We’ll just have to wait and see if anything comes of them. *fingers crossed*

Although it has cost me some friends and at least one web site I use to do to, I am pushing for investigations, obstruction, delaying, and denying the republicans anything and everything they want if it doesn’t help the lower incomes or the poor. If it advances in some way progressive thinking in the country, helps the poor and the lower incomes I am for the democrats to negotiate with them, if not block them if at all possible.
This thing of putting Steve Bannon on the security council full time and taking the joint chiefs of staff and the director of National Intelligence off any meetings they are not called to is a step that directly affects the security of the country.

President Donald Trump signed a presidential memorandum Saturday that removed the nation’s top military and intelligence advisers as regular attendees of the National Security Council’s Principals Committee, the interagency forum that deals with policy issues affecting national security.
The executive measure established Trump’s chief strategist Steve Bannon as a regular attendee, whereas the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the Director of National Intelligence will be allowed to participate only “where issues pertaining to their responsibilities and expertise are to be discussed.”

Yes, to everything you’ve written. But what is even more disturbing to me is the fact that he EXCLUDED the countries in his refugee ban where he has business dealings … yet the terrorists that slammed into the WTC came from one of those countries! Not one person from the nations currently on Trump’s “banned” list have ever killed Americans in terrorist attacks.

Yes I seen it on The Young Turks show. It keeps stunning me his total lack of concern he will get stopped or be in trouble for what he is doing. He is breaking laws, breaking with normally accepted actions, totally using his office as a self promotion tool for his business and no one who can stop him seems to care. Thankfully one judge put a stay on it, but then the white house claimed that the judge did not stop or challenge the order, and the judge’s ruling only affected the ones in detention at that time. It was a stay on the executive action.. that means it can not be enforced or acted on right? I just am wondering when our system will kick in and stop him. IF they could prevent a good President like Obama from doing the progressive things, why can’t we stop tRump from doing the crazy things and using the Oval OFfice as a money grabbing tool? Hugs

Yes. And not just the 9/11 attackers, but: The San Bernardino shooters (Pakistan), the Orlando nightclub shooter (Afghanistan), the Manhattan/New Jersey bomber (also Afghanistan), the Boston Marathon bombers (Chechnya)…
Not only would this ban have failed to prevent ANY of these incidents (and lots more I’m probably forgetting), but it makes us LESS safe by: playing beautifully into ISIS’ preferred narrative (that the West is waging war against Islam), alienating potential allies that we need to fight terror (look at how we’ve now thanked those two translators who helped our military; how much harder will it be now to get such people to assist us?), …

Yes Brent I was contemplating this matter. I was thinking about how I react to the SJW’s who imply all white men are sexist and racist. It just thoroughly annoys me and turns me against the SJW’s. I then reasoned that this would no doubt be similar to how a moderate Muslim feels by the mantra that all Muslims are terrorists.
Yep no doubt terribly counterproductive. Having said all that it is not without reason that us in the west are apprehensive of Islam. I really don’t know what to do anymore.

Frankly, two and a half months after the election, I haven’t yet recovered from the shock and disbelief that we could have elected such a man. Watching his actions this week has just deepened that shock and disbelief.
Yes, I agree with your analysis; not only are his actions the wrong ones, but his utter incompetence for the job is showing clearly. The ban was not just un-American, but its implementation was incredibly ham-fisted. (Apparently the DHS wanted to exclude green card and visa holders from the ban? But Trump Bannon & co. pressed on anyway… who needs facts, advice, or professional competence?) And Trump (and his thin-skinned ego) are not going to stand still for anyone who questions him or implies he’s not the boss and can’t rule by fiat as he sees fit.
The one hopeful thing has been the response. 1,000 people turned up at the Minneapolis-St. Paul airport last night; that’s a big protest in our neck of the woods! It’s pretty cool how fast the ACLU and pro bono lawyers jumped in with sleeves rolled up and quickly got some judicial stays. It’s too late to change the election, but not too late to have some influence over how this all proceeds.

Really does reek of amatuer hour. To not anticipate the logistical problems associated with including Green Card holders in the ban suggests either incompetence or wilful ignorance.
I have begun to wonder whether Congress is able to impeach a President for hamfisted incompetence?

I LOVE the demonstrations! Unfortunately, they will have little to no effect on the guy sitting behind the desk in the oval office because HE is the LEADER and what HE says goes. Those who disagree with his actions are simply disgruntled people who didn’t vote for him …

What will hurt him is if his popularity rating continues to plummet. If it gets into the low 30’s mid 20’s, Republicans may very well start thinking impeachment. The stink of this guy is gonna stick on them like the smell of rancid, rotting fish. This is going to very bad places, very quickly.

Speaking of ametuer hour, just read this article about Press Secretary Sean Spicer:

I mean to say, you could make this stuff up, just incredible!
