Donald Trump answers the question: What is 2+2?
“I have to say a lot of people have been asking this question. No, really. A lot of people come up to me and they ask me. They say, ‘What’s 2+2’? And I tell them look, we know what 2+2 is. We’ve had almost eight years of the worst kind of math you can imagine. Oh my God, I can’t believe it. Addition and subtraction of the 1s the 2s and the 3s. It’s terrible. It’s just terrible. Look, if you want to know what 2+2 is, do you want to know what 2+2 is? I’ll tell you. First of all the number 2, by the way, I love the number 2. It’s probably my favorite number, no it is my favorite number. You know what, it’s probably more like the number two but with a lot of zeros behind it. A lot. If I’m being honest, I mean, if I’m being honest. I like a lot of zeros. Except for Marco Rubio, now he’s a zero that I don’t like. Though, I probably shouldn’t say that. He’s a nice guy but he’s like, ‘10101000101,’ on and on, like that. He’s like a computer! You know what I mean? He’s like a computer. I don’t know. I mean, you know. So, we have all these numbers, and we can add them and subtract them and add them. TIMES them even. Did you know that? We can times them OR divide them, they don’t tell you that, and I’ll tell you, no one is better at the order of operations than me. You wouldn’t believe it. So, we’re gonna be the best on 2+2, believe me.”

Brilliant guy. Simply brilliant. With intelligence, empathy, and word mastery like this, I can see why people love this god-like hate monger. Google the words “national embarrassment”, and tRump’s photo comes up.

Thank you for putting this out there. People need to wake up and listen to him. Especially the ones that say, “He says what he means and I like that.” Ummm…yeah…exhibit A (this post) lol He says what he means alright 🙈😄

Wouldn’t it be great if we could play this on a loudspeaker at some of his rallys? Only problem is the irony of it would go right over the heads of his true-blue supporters.

They (those at a trump rally) remind me of someone at a football game yelling obscenities just because they can (mindless, spineless) yelling lol…so sad. Hunger Games here we come 😳

If what he means is word salad, then, yes. Got some lettuce, tomatoes, and cheese to go with that? The substance of his salad is a bit…nothingy.
He also says he’s going to bring back waterboarding. Then he says he’ll follow the laws. Then he says he’ll change the laws. International laws. He’s.got.the.powah! lol

Much as I don’t like Trump, I think the protestors shutting down his rally are politically very naive. That sort of action might make them feel good but it is likely to increase support for Trump not erode it.
I also get annoyed by protestors who think their voice is the only one that should be heard.

Peter, at this point in the process I don’t think anything will deter tRump supporters.
As far as the protesters … not sure what you mean by them thinking their voice is the only one that should be heard?
One thing that puzzled me is that many commentators were referencing the right of “free speech” — but from the perspective of tRump. My first thought is why doesn’t it work both ways? Or are those who disagree not allowed to, well, disagree? This is not to say I approve of the way the protesters acted last night. There are obviously better (and more civilized) ways to make your concerns known.
Following up on that last sentence … it has gone back and forth among the pundits, but some have indicated there have been protesters at other tRump events who were not disruptive, yet they have been forcibly removed, which included pushing and shoving and derogatory remarks. So in essence, contrary to how tRump tries to say the protesters are “nasty,” his hands are not entirely clean.

His hands are filthy. tRump has encouraged people at his rallies to punch protesters and that he will pay for their legal fees if they’re arrested. tRump plays on hate, rage, and violence, or the perceived impending, inevitability of violence, to whip people into a frenzy at his rallies. I’m not condoning what happened here last night, but when you bully and beat on those your xenophobic instincts tell you are “bad”, sometimes those people bite back. This is a mess, and it is shameful for America. The Republican party created this monster. They are a disgrace to this nation, IMO, and ultimately, they are to blame for the flavor of the soup they’ve cooked up.

For those of us with sensitivities beyond our primal instincts, this entire fiasco is embarrassing and disgusting. And what is so totally frustrating is we don’t have the power to do anything about it. The news media is having a field day selling their wares while the average citizen cringes in shame.

I suppose Nan what I was really getting at is that among Republican supporters the fact that protesters stopped a Trump Rally taking place is likely to increase not reduce support for Trump among the Republican base.
I also suggest that if protesters stop one of the candidates campaigning there is a danger to the democratic process.
What would the reaction be if Trump supporters disrupted a Bernies Sanders rally in the same manner?
We might not like Trump, we might think he is a thoroughly unsuitable prospect for president, but I still think there are better ways to address these concerns than stopping him being heard.
